Some Things Are New ✨

✨ Patterns ✨

Floor plans commonly include hatches and textures for informative reasons (indicating the material) and aesthetic reasons (preparing a drawing for presentation). From now on, choose a pattern and edit it with advanced options - all on the Rayon canvas.

✨ Annotations ✨

Adding information to your floor plan can now be done faster using customized annotations: straight or curved, one or double-sided Arrows, pins, and more!

✨ Boolean Operations ✨

Draw complex shapes with the new boolean operation feature enabling you to:

  • Subtract

  • Union

  • Intersect

  • Exclude

✨ Zone Divider ✨

Often, open space areas have sub-divisions according to their use case. That's why we've added a Zone Divider, allowing you to add a zone freely, with no wall partition. πŸ‘‰ More about the wall and zone features in our Documentation! arrow-up-rightπŸ”—

✨ Arc ✨

The edition tools now include an Arc! You can implement it in 2 ways:

  • By using the arc tool to draw an arc.

  • By drawing a polyline and implementing an arc as a part of it: either click on the Arc (A) or on the Line (L) to go between a straight or arched line!

✨ Match Properties ✨

You can now use the eyedropper button to match the style properties of elements on the canvas! πŸ‘‰ More about the style properties in our Documentation! arrow-up-rightπŸ”—

And Some Are Better πŸ’ͺ

Offsetting Door & Window OpeningsπŸ’ͺ

When adding an opening block such as a door or a window, hover over it to detect the light blue dashed line: then drag it to determine the offsetting of the component! πŸ‘‰ More about opening and furniture blocks in our Documentation! arrow-up-rightπŸ”—

PDF ImportπŸ’ͺ

When importing a PDF file, Rayon will ask you to set an estimated distance for reference. This will help scale and convert the PDF file into a Rayon model. πŸ‘‰ More about importing, exporting, and sharing in our Documentation! arrow-up-rightπŸ”—
