Private and Public Model Settings [Beta]

How to control visibility and access for your models

In Rayon, you can set your models to Public or Private, depending on your plan.

Public models are visible to everyone in the Rayon community. Anyone can view, duplicate, and use them as templates. For Free plan users, all models are Public by default.

Private models are hidden from the Rayon community and cannot be accessed or duplicated by others. Only Pro and Team plan users can create Private models.

If you downgrade from a paid plan to the free plan or if your free trial ends, your Private models will remain Private but become Read-Only. You can still download them in any format, but editing will only be possible if you switch them to Public or upgrade your plan.

Where do I access my model's visibility settings?

You can toggle on the Private or Public tabs from your model's top right side property panel:

FAQ

I have a Free Rayon account. How does Private/Public mode work?

With a Free account, your models will be Public by default and therefore visible to everyone in the Rayon community. Anyone can view, duplicate, and use them as templates. If you want to set a model to Private, you'd need to upgrade your plan to Pro or Team.

I have a Pro/Team Rayon account. How does Private/Public mode work?

With a Pro or Team account, you can switch between Private and Public modes. Private models are hidden from the Rayon community and cannot be viewed or duplicated by others.

I have a Pro/Team account but want to switch to the Free plan. How can I keep my work private?

If you downgrade to the Free plan, your Private models will remain private but become accessible in Read-Only mode. To edit them again, you can switch them to Public or upgrade your plan. In Read-Only mode, you can still download them as DWG, DXF, PDF, Image, or a Rayon file.

Note: Private and Public modes are currently in Beta. If you don’t see this option in your account, all of your models are set to Private by default.
